Our home is Wangen in the Allgäu. With great ties to the city and region, it is therefore a matter close to our hearts to support the State Horticultural Show.
The managing partner of STENDER GmbH, Dr. Michael Stender finds the right words for his commitment:
“In 1948, my grandfather, who had studied art and commercial graphics at the academy in Hamburg, moved here Wangen became self-employed as a graphic designer in the Allgäu. He received his first orders for advertising appearances and company logos from Wangenhe company. Waldner still uses the logo he designed today. My grandfather developed a large part of the advertising material for the 800th anniversary in 1950.
Our family business, which I am the third generation to run, has had a strong relationship with the city right from the start. And the city has always offered us the best conditions for further development as a company. The State Garden Show brings the Argen back to the city. She offers for Wangen the unique opportunity to position ourselves as a lively, natural city and to inspire visitors from near and far for our homeland.
With our sponsorship we want to support this leap in urban development. As a “Free Imperial City”. Wangen has always been supported by the citizenry. In the spirit and tradition of my grandfather, one focus of our contribution is on the artistic design of the state garden show, such as the idea of the “artist in residence”.
