This year's company outing took us to one of the most famous trademarks in the world and made one or two people's hearts beat faster.
But let's start from the beginning.
The tempting scent of freshly ground coffee beans was in the air. The barista team from Tutto Bohne had set up their charming Ape in front of our company building and spoiled the entire STENDER team with artfully prepared coffee specialties. A perfect start to the day!
In a good mood and full of anticipation, we continued on by bus towards Stuttgart. Our first destination was the brewery in Böblingen, where we met up with our lovely colleagues from Koblenz. The joy of seeing each other again was immense, and after a shared lunch came the highlight of our trip: a fascinating factory tour at Mercedes-Benz in Sindelfingen!
The plant covers an impressive area of more than 3 km² – larger than the Principality of Monaco – and employs around 35.000 people. We were able to visit two halls whose contrast could not have been greater:
In the shell construction hall we experienced a real "robot ballet". The robots welded and assembled the vehicle bodies with impressive precision and speed. In contrast, there was the assembly hall, where real manual work and manpower were required. Every move was perfect and the vehicles were assembled with the utmost care.
The most important thing: teamwork!
Without close cooperation and trust in the abilities of colleagues, such a high level and performance would not be possible. Our employees could only agree, because efficient teamwork with a high-quality result is also a top priority in our everyday work.
The factory tour was an impressive experience and the day as a whole was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the sense of community and have fun together.
